Q-SimiX Core (former sQuery) was a gameserver query class written in PHP.
Project's main goal was to write (in fact adapt some working simple synchronous code I had already had) a query script which could fetch the server status from multiple servers simultaneously (in asynchronous manner), thus reducing processing delay when querying numerous servers at once.
The rewrites made it to the usable framework state for basic operations. Due to the proliferation of similar more active projects the development ceased somewhere in 2004.
Tidying up the old stuff for this site, I found the framework and committed it for archival purposes to the original SourceForge project - accessible through the SVN code browser. The code is non-functional, it would require a bit of fixes to get it straight for HLDS protocol querying. Currently more able solutions are readily available - check out for example GameQ.
