Q-SimiX Monitor was an application used to monitor and query Half-Life dedicated servers (Counter-Strike specifically) for their status in an unobtrusive way (sitting in tray).

The application enabled users to monitor their favourite servers and get live visual indication of the number of player slots in use. A connection to the gameserver could be initiated by double-clicking on the tray icon.

Initially the application was deployed in Borland IDE, later on rewritten in pure WinAPI. Unfortunately, it was quite painful to maintain and implement new features without a decent framework in place (like Qt nowadays). After some major protocol changes to the Half-Life dedicated servers it ceased to function properly, and the userbase was not wide enough to justify further development.

The application has been featured on the Polish Counter-Strike website.
